Back to Otto
Otto helps you remember occasions and send gifts to people you choose. This policy explains what we collect and your rights. It is a plain-language summary, not legal advice.
What we collect. Your account email or username. The people you add to your tree, including their names, important dates, interests, and (only if you choose to send a physical gift) a shipping address. We do not sell your data, ever.
About the people you add. Some of the people you add are not Otto users. You should only add people you have a personal or business relationship with. We store the minimum needed to remind you and to send a gift you approve, we encrypt it, and we delete a recipient's shipping address 30 days after a gift ships. If someone you sent a gift to wants their information removed, they can ask us through the gift's claim page, or you can remove them from your tree at any time.
How we use it. To remind you of occasions, suggest gifts, and (if you turn on automation) purchase and ship gifts you approve. AI gift suggestions are generated by a third-party model provider from the description you write.
Who we share it with. Only the service providers needed to run the product, for example an email provider for reminders, a payment processor for membership, and a gift-fulfillment provider when you send a gift. Each only receives what it needs.
Keeping it. We keep your data while your account is active. You can download a full copy of your data anytime from Settings, and you can delete your account at any time from the app, which permanently erases your tree, your login, your sessions, and your gift history. You can also ask us to do either of these for you at any time.
Children. Otto is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and you must be 18 or older to create an account. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us through the app and we will delete it.
Contact. Reach us through the app to exercise any of these rights.
